(A)social Being

The “modern” Web, served via our phones in particular, makes it too easy to live without intent. Hour after hour. Days at a time. Months even. And at times years. (emphasis mine)

Phones have afforded us many conveniences, but there’s a tangible cost that Jatan is spot on about. I posit the  ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜ is better at minimizing distractions, but only to a point—it’s still a notification on your person. In order to achieve this intentionality, we must create and cultivate it ourselves. Like a good tool, we can and should use our devices with purpose, not to fill every quiet moment.
